Battery retailer, Battery Web, negotiated with PowerSonic batteries to open a new distribution location. The new distribution center for PowerSonic batteries will be in Leesburg, Fla., Battery Web’s home location. Battery Web carries batteries by other brand name battery makers, including Panasonic and Odyssey, but only PowerSonic has a distribution center affiliated with the website. When the company started twelve years ago, PowerSonic was the first name-brand battery offered through the online store.

The primary advantage to battery purchasers is that the distribution center will be able to send out orders to the southeast US far quicker than before. Current US distribution locations for PowerSonic are San Diego, Chicago, and New York, and PowerSonic products would previously go to Leesburg from one of these locations for distribution by Battery Web. For those who do not live in the southeast, the expansion of PowerSonic with Battery Web also means increased product offerings for those who use the website to buy batteries. The inventory of current products and product offerings will increase after the new distribution center is in use. Currently, PowerSonic products available through Battery Web include various SLA, Ni-Cad, and NiMH batteries and chargers.
